Youth Learn to Sew 101

10 Classes every Monday, September 15 - November 21, 2025

(no class on October 20, 2025)

Small class size of no more than 5 students.

Each class is 2 hours.  Some projects will take more than one class to finish. 

$75  plus materials.   Kits available for each class at $15 or you are welcome to supply your own materials.  

Your class fee can be used toward a new machine, if you wish to purchase one from Juneberry Cottage.

 *Please bring to class: Sewing machine, power cord and foot control, in good working order with a new needle and the manual. As we use the machine, if there is a problem, we have an in-house repair center. You can leave the machine and it will be ready for the next class. General cleaning, adjusting, lubricating service is $65. Parts needed are extra and we would discuss your options with you. We also have classroom machines which can be used by the students.

*Basic sewing kit is discussed.  If you do not have all of these for the first class, do not worry about it.   (Extra bobbins, needles, fabric marking pen or pencil, sewing clips or pins, tweezers, scissors for clipping threads, shears and a seam ripper.)

*Label all your equipment (power cord, foot control, scissors) to avoid mix ups.

Class 3:       Traveling Totes drawstring bag 

Class 4 & 5:     Pumpkin Applique Table Mat 

Class 6:       Apron

Class 7:       Easy Table Runner

Class 8 & 9:      Zippered Bag

Class 10:       Mitten or Stocking Mini Gift Bag

Bonus Class 11:     Finish any unfinished project if needed
